Sony’s Ad Execs Causing A Stir Again

There are, in my limited experience, at least three ways to run a marketing campaign that generates a lot of attention. You can be clever and impress consumers with your wit and creativity; you can be edgy and arty and impress people with your sense of visual impact and modernity; or you can do […]

Portrait of a Gamer

I also found, this time for the PS2, not the PSP, a video from France that contains everything from cocaine snowmen on skiis to nipple pinching. According to ARTCADEPlaystation, for whom the video was made, it is meant to showcase the general misconceptions and pervasive stereotypes surrounding video games as the cause of violent […]

Oregon Trail, But In Africa

Remember the heart-rending sadness when one of your axles broke, causing your children to starve somewhere out in the mid-west and your oxen to keel over from heat exhaustion? Wasn’t that fun? Didn’t you learn things about proper management, the circle of life and how, no matter how hard you try and how […]

Wii Won’t Get Much from EA

The Wii won’t see much in the way of EA games this year (2006 for those unsure), being that only two games have been confirmed from said developer. The two titles are Madden NFL 2007 and Need for Speed Carbon.
It also looks like EA isn’t enthusiastically backing Nintendo in any way, having developed only […]

Xbox On the Move: Project ‘Argo’

Microsoft has been lagging in the realm of portable gaming consoles, but rumours are rising that something is cooking in the Microsoft labs.

When Having A Gamertag Just Ain’t Enough

Gamertags, those lovely bragging-rights imbuing creations from Xbox Live! have become a source of bravado and pride in the Microsoft gaming community. Show off the badges you’ve won, display your reputation, and lord your impressive GamerScore over hoards of unworthy peons.
Just in case you wanted to point out exactly how much ass you kick […]

Vanguard Beta

I’ve had this draft title saved at Play-Girlz for weeks now and have finally decided to use it despite the fact that I have yet to even play the Vanguard: Saga of Heroes beta. Why, might you ask, would Erin, already admittedly strange, go this one step further into weirdness in a blazingly public […]
