Nintendo DS Wifi Hits 2 Million Mark

Recently, Nintendo announced that its Wi-Fi service has reached 2 million players, logging more than 70 million gaming sessions.
Not bad for a service that’s less than a year old. The service launched back in November 2005, featuring Wi-Fi connectivity for games such as Mario Kart DS and Animal Crossing: Wild World.
With more games in the […]

Nintendo DS & Gamer Girls

I arrived in Paris early Thursday morning, and sat in the hotel lobby waiting on a room. After a while, I began to notice a fascinating trend: girls playing on Nintendo DS consoles. I saw about five different girls, young girls, holding their pink or white consoles and playing away.
Meanwhile, I saw no boys playing. […]

Xbox 360 Drops 10 Pounds in Europe

The beloved Xbox 360 has gone on a low-carb diet, and dropped 10 pounds since its release. And by ‘pounds’ I mean British pounds. Though, it would be funny if people rushed off to weigh their Xbox 360s.
From GBP 209, the console is now at GBP 199, which is a nice round number. It’s almost […]

PS3 vs Wii

Have you ever found yourself wondering what the difference are between the up-coming ‘next-gen’ (when can we start losing that term…) machines? Well I’ve got the solution to your confusion.

Caution: May contain some bum slapping.

Game Review: Street Fighter Alpha Anthology

I spent my weekend playing Street Fighter. Street Fighter Alpha Anthology actually, which is the latest in the never-ending string of franchise fun. I’ve been a huge Street Fighter fan since the original, which I am both old enough to remember, and also old enough to proclaim was one of the most purely […]

Hey, I’m a Girl … Where’s All My Free Stuff?

A couple of weeks ago, I read an article about why guys roll female toons on games like World of Warcraft. The predominant reasons seemed to be “because if I’m going to stare at a butt all day, it might as well be a woman’s” or “because as a girl toon I get more free […]

PS3 Shortages Possible

No surprise there.
Sony Computer Entertainment America’s president, Kaz Hirai, stated in an interview with GameSpot that he thinks, “it’s going to be very much of a challenge to be able to meet every single unit demand that’s out there in the market. That’s just a logistical impossibility.”
Well, sure it is, if you haven’t even started […]

F.E.A.R. For the PlayStation 3

For F.E.A.R. and PS3 fans, Vivendi has good news. That sounded very Yoda of me. It come, F.E.A.R. will. For PS3, you will have.
F.E.A.R. leads to …
Okay, I’ll stop.
Vivendi has announced a PS3 release of F.E.A.R. for November, in or around the date of the console’s release. /cheer
Meanwhile, in the land of freebies, Vivendi has […]
