WoW Your Friends At Hallowe’en
It’s funny the things that you can find on eBay. I now no longer have to worry about finding a costume for Hallowe’en. I do, however, have to come up with a coherent way to tell my friends, who are non-gamers, why the hell I’m dressed like a skanky Lord of the Rings character with a penchant for shiny material and pseudo-provacative poses.
No, I’ll tell them, I am not Arwen having a fashion crisis, I am in fact Lightmoon Bloodmonger, protectress of all things woodsy and bearer of the poofiest hair since Elvira. I’ll then go into a very simple five hour explanation of how my costume is my attempt to bring to life an avatar that I created in a game that I play with hundreds of other people, who all spends hundreds of hours a month earning fake gold, to buy virtual clothing, pets, bows, and potions in a land called Azeroth.
On second thought, perhaps this WoW/EQ2 costume pattern is better left to those of you whose real life crowd better matches your online persona. Available in different sizes to suit the curvier among us, get your WOW/EQ2 Womans [sic] Costume today!! And gents, don’t you feel left out! You too can feel dapper in your mage duds.
Frankly, I’m getting a little bit more of a Stargate feel from the men’s costumes, particularly the dude with the pod staff on the right and am tempted to snort a complaint of false branding at the seller, but in the end, it was just too amusing not to post.
