Activision Blizzard Opens Gates of Spin-off Hell
So the big news in the gaming world recently was the mammoth merger of Activision and Vivendi (the second and third largest independent publishers) to the tune of an absolutely absurd $18.9B. Out of the smoke rises a veritable behemoth, giving good old EA (alone a top the publishing list for eons) some food for thought.
1UP ponders some of the potential evil spawn of this union in a humourous look at Actiblizzion Game Mashups. I personally would love to see a combo of Surviving Hollywood and G.U.N. called: S.T.U.N.D. It would be beautifully textured and cinematic with Paris Hilton as the blonde protagonist, but only be comprised of 10 minutes of gameplay, most of which spent repeatedly applying different sorts of makeup.
