Antiques Roadshow MMO
It’s the stuffy suits that control the ebb and flow of the gaming industry. They’re the ones with their hands in the wallets of the investors and so, by some twist of logic only fathomable in their own minds, they assume this means they have a finger on the pulse of youth today. We all get bombarded with “demographically targeted marketing”, which for the gaming set seems to involve a lot of flashing graphics and loud music. It’s all very ridiculous, which is why this video clip from G4 television, in which two inept gents try to demonstrate their understanding of trends in gaming, earned a chuckle.
Sadly, the thought of an Antiques Roadshow game is appealing to me. I would love to hunt down bargains amidst a virtual landscape of knockoffs and little ceramic cat figurines. I can imagine building my very own collection of 16th century Dutch portraits, and displaying my vast array of Chinese teapots in a carefully sculpted cherry wood cabinet…is that so wrong?
And as for Excel MMO. Hell yes, I want a level 60 spreadsheet. Those things can regress a lesser formula into next week.
