Blame Accepted for Evil Flower

Nintendo, gaming hero of our youth, has recently had to admit that one of their own creations got a little out of control, wielding petalled doom to those who tried to add the innocuous sounding tulip to their character’s homes in Animal Crossing: Wild World.
Coming in the form of an innocent looking letter, The Red Tulip, once placed, was a permanent fixture in a character’s home. Like Uncle Louis, who has lived in your basement ever since being invited to family dinner at Christmas in 1973, this tulip can’t be removed.
Contrary to rumour and paranoia, the appearance of the tulip is not due to hackers and viruses and DS-bricking maniacs. Nintendo has come forward and claimed responsibility for this evil house guest and traced the problem to a system issue when the Red Tulip letter was being uploaded. Don’t fear all tulips, says Ninty, as the
tulips themselves are not the problem. Generally they are undisruptive and readily available in Animal Crossing: Wild World. This particular Red Tulip appears as a piece of furniture and only affects gameplay if placed indoors.
