Call of Duty 2 Calls In A Strike

Call of Duty 2 server admins are turning out to be a united-ly cranky bunch, and are sick and tired of talking to a brick wall when it comes to trying to cut down on the rampant cheating that has crept into the online game. They’ve given Activision and Infinity Ward until December 16th to come up with some kind of official response to the epidemic, or else they’re just going to close the entire game down. Can they do that? Oh yes. No servers mean no online games which means really irate gamers. They plan on trying a 24-hour blackout on Clans, Leagues, Ladders, Players, Admins and server providers in order to protest what they feel is a lack of support by the game creators.
As usual, gamers and coders sick of waiting for an official response from developers have gone ahead and authored their own anti-cheat program. And also as usual, it is a clan that has taken up the cheat-buster flag. Elite Clan Warfare has developed ServerWatch. It’s client-side/server-side and will block cheats from active use, like the Medal of Honor equivalent Missionary though, users will have to update the cheat definitions as they come out.
