Meme: What’s Your Desktop Like

Last week the VGC’s intrepid Editor Mike Leaño (how also happens to blog, run’n’gun style over at FPS Rantings) tagged me in a meme that’s supposed to shows what a creative wonder I am. He believes that having a look at someone’s desktop gives a person a peek at one’s personality. Going off mine, I […]

Channel Surfing: Feb 24-Mar 1

Last week in the good old VGC (Video Games Channel for those of you not hip to the lingo…yo) was a busy one, despite the server’s display of teenage angst. In days gone by, I used to share my thoughts on some of the posts of fellow VGC members in a category called “Channel Surfing” […]

Apple Trademark Revision Suggests iGame

I love my new shiny aluminum iMac with a fervour that just might creep out the majority of people but one thing that I haven’t been doing a lot of on it, is gaming. It’s kind of like having a new toy that’s missing a screw and so doesn’t quite do all that you’d like […]

Alone in the Dark Tech Demo

A recently released tech demo for Alone in the Dark shows off its “Real World Rules” engine, a name that just begs to be made fun of. All kidding aside though, this game looks pretty kick-ass. But don’t take my word for it, check out the demo.

Call of Duty 4 May Keep Pace with Halo 3

And just who says that franchise games are dull, re-hashed, and unwanted by the gaming public? Not the current batch of hungry consumers, who have been snapping up Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 like hotcakes. H3 has hurdled the 4 million copy mark effortlessly, but it’s not the only game that’s […]

Safe Refuge for Online Female Gamers

I’ve personally never logged on to Xbox Live. Tales of assholes and jerks aside, I’ve just never been interested in it. But Xbox Live is a widely popular service, and though it remains predominantly male, Microsoft estimates that 10% to 20% of the subscription base is female. Still, many women who dare tread into boystown […]
