Comfort Shopping
For those of us who didn’t get a PS3, or a bloody Wii for that matter, life has been reduced to finding other outlets upon which to spend the hard-saved money otherwise doomed to wallow until well after Christmas. It does make for a fairly interesting time sink mind you, to wander around the vaporous intarweb seeking out the most inane gaming related objects in existence, such as:
- The ever-chic ‘Viva Miyamoto‘ t-shirt. Sport the grinning face of the man who started the Wii-volution, who stood up for the little guy, and who looks dashing in a beret. Available in women’s cut. As well as these other very cool t-shirts from Think Geek.
- For the more adventurous among you, perhaps you’d like to tackle turning your old pinball machine (or better yet someone else’s) into a light up coffee table. A handy-dandy tutorial via BoingBoing will put you on the path of righteous nerdiness
- The oddly apropos and infinitely entertaining “Jesus is My Guild Leader” tee from the irreverent folks of Penny Arcade.
- Every girl needs a little black dress, but there’s no reason that yours needs to be boring! Gaming ladies in the know will love the Pong Dress. Try this little piece of mobile gaming on for size.
- Lastly, for a bit of culture, let a little art into your life with these high definition gamer canvas pieces on eBay. Chicks are sure to dig the tasteful San Andreas drive by shot (no pun intended), while the Gears of War, Halo, Hitman will make not having a PS3 seem like a distant memory.
