Depp Says ‘ARRRR!’ to Voice Talent

Strangely enough I had a dream about Johnny Depp the other night, something I’m not in the habit of doing. We were at this strange music conference and then he was whisked away by some old buddies in a beat up car painted like a 60’s hippie VW bus. Was this merely a reflection of my psychological problems or a portend from parts unknown to remind me that Depp had agreed to lend his voice to the Pirates of the Caribbean video game?

We may never know. But it’s creepy nonetheless.

Due to be released sometime in July according to the site of developer 7 Studios, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow looked pretty spiffy at E3 and is just one in several pirate genre games to be spawned out of the success of its movie namesake. Depp has been working with 7 Studios and their publisher Bethesda to lend his pirate babble to the upcoming title. Like Depp, like the movies? Then this bonus should kick up the immersion level all that much more for you and make it feel as though Capt. Jack Sparrow is swashbucklin’ right ‘aside ye matey.
