Drop It Like It’s Hot With Tyra Banks
So I was trying to Google some sales tallies and financial data for a different post, when a particular combination of search terms and dedicated flipping through dozens of pages of results netted one of the most estrogen-infused gaming links I’ve yet to see.
Amidst links to “What Tyra’s Wearing” (a red Rachel Pally swimsuit for tomorrow’s show apparently…liek OMG I must run out and buy it), and Tyra’s World, the website for the Tyra Banks Show had, nestled in its multi-hued purple glory, this thing called Tyra’s Virtual Studio. While pondering exactly how many time a woman could mention her own name on her website before it becomes ridiculous, I discovered that I could hang with Tyra, Tyra Banks, and her crew in a virtual rendition of her studio. All I had to do was download some software, conveniently available for both Macs and Windows, and I could listen to music, attend runway challenges, and vamp it up to my hearts content.
According to the site:
“You can even design your own avatar…customizing everything from your fabulous shoes to your stylin’ hair. Your avatar can drop it like it’s hot…”
Drop it like it’s hot baby. That’s the spot for me.
If Tyra has her own version of virtual selfhood, who’s next? We could see Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump duke it out online, or Oprah single-handedly destroy the internet when her millions of minions simultaneously log on.
