eBay UK Says No to Virtual Game Goods

eBay UK will no longer accept your World of Warcraft gold or EverQuest items. Due to the “legal complexity” of virtual goods, eBay.co.uk has decided to simply say no.
I’m surprised this didn’t happen sooner, actually. I’m sure Virtual good retailers will find other ways to sell their gaming items, of course, but I think eBay is smart to wipe their hands of the issue and save themselves the legal hassle.
Now, if Blizzard could do something about the in-game spam mail, I’d appreciate it. I have enough spam outside the game without gold sellers getting into my Azerothian inbox.
