Fable: The Lost Chapters

by Ingrid on September 24th, 2005

If only I’d known this was coming out so soon, I would’ve waited. Alas, I went out and bought Fable for the Xbox a few weeks ago (using my 10% off, girly discount, of course), and now I’ll have to wait on the enhanced PC version: Fable: The Lost Chapters. That’s somewhat disappointing since the PC version comes with expanded content, greater customization, new quests, and enhanced graphics, and I’m a sucker for bigger and better. Oh well, it’s my own fault for not being more on top of the game (haha, on top of the…)

Oh well, I guess I’ll have to settle for the lesser, uninhanced, unextended initial Xbox version, which is actually pretty darn great all by itself. I get to age my character, change his hair style in order to woo da ladies (can I woo boys?), choose a path of good or evil, and many other nifty features. It’s practically a virtual Choose Your Own Adventure game, full of great content and exciting quests, which makes me all the sorrier that I don’t have The Lost Chapters.

For those who are interested, both games are available pretty much everywhere and you can learn all about The Lost Chapters at the official site.

Yes you can woo the boys. And have multiple “wives” as long as they’re in different towns and stuff.

Hahaha, that’s awesome. I love the freedom of choice the game provides. It makes it all the more interesting.

Yeah. Though sadly that was one of it’s biggest let downs. People were all excited thinking you could go anywhere and do pretty much anything, only to find out you were slaved to the roads which..later in the game become almost completely useless.

Thanks for popping my bubble, Matt. :p I’m gonna go cry in a corner now.

    Hey, I do what I can. ;)

Well you still can do pretty much anything, you just can’t run off into the forest and explore.

I don’t know… I didn’t think the roads ruined the game too much. I mean, hey, who wants to explore Ol’e Grammie’s garden anyway? or take a swi-.. no wait I would’ve liked to have taken a swim, got WoW for that though. Anywho, it was a great game, alas way too short, even the PC version (since I am no Xbox slave. I even got hordes of men running after me, I mean, scary, but oh the fun *laughs*

Makes you wonder why they wouldn’t let us into Grammie’s garden though. I mean… what’s Grammie hiding?

    Mmmhmm.

Hahaha, I can’t believe I actually wondered that myself as I wrote it… oh bloody…
