Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest On 360?

That’s the way the rumours fly, no matter what the subject matter. Gaming isn’t immune to flip flopping tales of grandeur that torment fans and leave executives arching their eyebrows in amusement at the gullibility of the media. Apparently Square Enix was considering releasing the upcoming installments of their Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest RPGs onto the PS3 AND the XBox 360. Prior to this announcement, both series had been largely exclusive to only one platform, so the decision, to be made at E3 2006, could be ground breaking for both franchises and consoles alike.
Just one day after this exciting announcement 1up sought to confirm it with Square Enix, and was disappointed to find out that the Reuters article was inaccurate in its phrasing. It looks like Final Fantasy will remain squarely in Sony’s camp for the time being. Hopes raised and dashed in the space of 24 hours.

Well… don’t own any of the two.. but I’ve played the Final Fantasy 12 demo.. and… oooh… the world will never be the same again.. liked the new battle system too :)

Wow! I can’t wait for FF 12 to come out… I may even ditch blogging after all… :-)
But no Final Fantasy on XBOX please!! A hardcore FF fan like myself believes Playstation is the platform for FF series!

Pfff, playstation FF (sorry for the use of term) N00bs! Shouldn’t even be alowed to express themselves in this matter :P Nah just kidding, if you want to play the poor excuses for a great game, go ahead ;)
