Free Opera Beta for Wii

Nintendo and Opera have announced that a free beta version of the Opera browser will be available on December 22nd for all of you lucky Wii owners.
“Our software brings the power and reach of the Internet to the hottest video game system available. Wii’s unique interface adds a new dimension to our browser, making it a useful tool that the whole family will enjoy operating with ease.”
Scott Hedrick, Executive Vice President, Devices at Opera Software.The software is optimised for Wii and television viewing, allowing surfers to view sites, go interactive (Adobe Flash enabled) and input text using the onboard on-screen keyboard. The final version of the browser will also be freely avaliable for a limited time at the end of March 2007 until June where gamers will need to pay 500 Wii points to download.
