Free Wii Opera Until June ‘07
Opera has confirmed that their browser will be offered free of charge on the Wii console until June 2007.
After June 2007, gamers will have to purchase the Opera browser using points from the ‘Wii Shop Channel.’ I assume if you don’t have any points from the Wii Shop Channel that you can just punch in some credit card numbers and voila. But, who knows.
Further revelations about the big O in the wee Wii, include:
- Standard Opera 9 desktop support
- Zoom
- Bookmarks
- Support of Flash and AJAX-based applications
