Game developers do their part for charity

by Ingrid on September 28th, 2005

It’s always nice to read about the developers I like doing nice things in the world. Case in point, BioWare Corp., which has developed such popular games as the Baldur’s Gate series and Neverwinter Nights, hosted the first annual “Miracle Builders Breakfast” to raise funds for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. The foundation raises money for the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Alberta, Canada, which is also BioWare’s hometown.

BioWare presented the foundation with a hefty sum, helping them to reach their $500,000 goal in just one hour!

Ray Muzyka, one of the joint CEO’s of BioWare stated: “BioWare has always been dedicated to supporting children’s health and welfare. The Miracle Builders Breakfast, for the Stollery Children’s Hospital, will raise money to help a tremendous number of sick children.”

I do love Canadians. :)
