GameFly Gears Up For PS3 & Wii
Looks like rental guru GameFly has started gearing up for the release of the PS3 and the Wii this November. If you’re one of those people who camped out outside of Best Buy for your Xbox 360, and are obsessed with all things console, then I’m sure you’re already on top of this and been adding them to you list since the second they became available. If you’re not, well, then expect tons of long queues and wait times if you’re expecting to get your hands on one of the 25+ games currently listed for each platform.
Of the 27 Wii games, only two have a release date listed (Rayman 4 on November 30th and Happy Feet on the 14th), and there was no hint as to the actual launch date of the console. Considering that the games that have been earmarked for day one availability have been all but confirmed, one would think that the only thing holding GameFly back from putting in the date would be Nintendo’s cheeky refusal to pinpoint when Wii will Bii ready to go.
The PS3 with its list of 26 games thus far, is even less forthcoming with release information, with all games marked as TBD save for Full Auto 2: Battlelines, set for November 23rd. At least we know the PS3 system launch date: November 17th, but it’s not like the majority of us will be able to afford the $600 a pop price tag. There go my Christmas presents for the next 3 years…
