GameStop Pre-Orders: Sold Out

Not surprising in the least, GameStop sold out on its pre-orders practically minutes after opening its doors. Most stores, as it turns out, had only 8-16 slots available for pre-order, which, considering how many people want to get their hands on the console, is nothing.
Alas, Sony has delayed the PS3 release until March here in L’Europe, so I will just sit here and count my pennies until then. Or, you know, just get a Wii.
Since it’s looking like the PS3 will be facing the same shortage problems as the Xbox 360 did, I imagine Nintendo will be raking in the dough as a result. Can’t get a PS3? Let’s get the Wii instead! Cheaper, and better yet … actually available for purchase!
Did anyone reading this manage to get a pre-order with GameStop? I’m curious to know.
