Girls In Da Hood?

by Erin on November 28th, 2007

Apparently we, the lady gamers out there, are missing a key element of the gaming experience; one so vital and essential to our very being that the mere lack of it is crushing out will to live….we don’t have a girly version of Grand Theft Auto. *gasp* I know, the thought is paralyzing.Do we get to bash people’s head in with a bat? Steal cool cars? Pimp out male prostitutes for personal gain? Pshh…like, as if we’d be interested in that. No, we’re going to assert our feminine independence the only way we know how…being the Coolest Girl in School, where our major concerns is ’social death’ and ‘dying of embarrassment’.

With games like GTA being slammed from every corner of the political spectrum the world over, how could parents not love a game that allows their daughter (or son for that matter) to:

Lie, bitch, flirt your way to the top of the high school ladder…Experiment with fashion! Experiment with drugs! Experiment with your sexuality! Cut class! Spread rumors! But try to avoid dying of embarrassment- literally!

In Coolest Girl in School fashion and communication reign supreme.

Working out what the hell to wear and answering hilarious quizzes makes or breaks you.

Students are labeled according to the sub-culture they subscribe to, teachers exist to be manipulated and parents ensure the constant threat of social death.

Nothing like reliving a little social trauma and dredging up the always wonderful highschool years. I think I’ll stick to the boys’ game…

You know, I used to worry I wasn’t girly enough because I’m obsessed with games as I am.

Then I see crap like this. Uh, wow.

And what’s with that picture? More like “Coolest Monkey in the Toxic Waste Dump.”
