Go Go Summer Gaming!
Things picked up towards the end of the month after a very sluggish start to our September poll, which asked:
Time’s up for summer. What game kept you glued during vacation?
Apparently you were all still stuck in front of the screen, hacking and slashing and puzzling your way through early fall.
Only 19% of you tried to make it sound like you were exercising and enjoying the great outdoors. The rumours of gamers being allergic to sunlight, and hence wan, pasty creatures of basement dwellings, seem to be supported here.
Free time meant game time to 43% of respondents, who took advantage of the more relaxed atmosphere of summer to put in some serious mileage at the controls. Anything and everything was suitable for play! Another 5% specified co-op games as their timewaster of choice.
Not surprisingly, due to their inherently obsessive, rabid nature (yes, I’m looking at you Ingrid), WoW addicts made up a full third of respondents. They seem not to have time for any game other than their beloved WoW. For your unwavering dedication and skewing of my precious poll, I salute you!
