Half-Life and Halo Developers Open Studio: Giant Bite Games

by Ingrid on March 8th, 2006

The developers behind such masterpieces as Halo, Halo 2, Counterstrike, DirectX, and Half-Life have opened their doors to a new studio: Giant Bite Games.

The team behind the formation of the studio is made up of Hamilton Chu, lead producer at Bungie during the making of Halo and Halo 2; Michael Evans, multiplayer lead and lead engineer for Halo and Halo 2; Andy Glaister, former director of development for Microsoft Game Studios and engineering team lead for Windows Graphics and Gaming; and Steve Theodore, who worked on Half-Life and Counterstrike, and was previously the technical art manager at Zipper Interactive, home of Socom.

The executive team combined has shipped over 30 games with 20 million units sold. They are currently discussing their first project.

Wonder what their first project is going to be. I bet $5 it involves shooting stuff.
