Happy Holidays World of Warcraft Style

For all of you casual WoW players who are rising the day after Christmas in an eggnong-enduced mind-fog, wearing nothing but a wrapping paper skirt, and not quite knowing where you are … (not that that’s happened to me… no…), don’t forget to visit the lands of Azeroth for your virtual gifts!
Greatfather Winter is still sitting in his chair enjoying his sugar high from the 9937422 gingerbread cookies people have given him, but the presents at his side are not to be ignored.
This year, Blizzard added an extra present under the tree which seems to be available to practically all players (over level 20, perhaps). Look for the box marked “Winter Veil Gift” for your Clockwork Rocket Bot! Wind-up toy robot anyone? He randomly blows up, which is kinda cool.
If you’ve not logged on in the past week or so, you’ve still got until January 2nd to enjoy the Winter Veil festivities. For you high level tailors and leatherworkers, patterns for the winter clothes and boots were mailed to you. And if you’re a high level cook, the Hot Apple Cider recipe should’ve also been mailed to you.
If they weren’t, don’t dispair. Yesterday’s rolling restarts gave Blizzard the opportunity to add those patterns to the holiday vendors. All recipes are B.o.P. so no need to stock up for future sales.
Kissing the revelers at the inn now gives an extra treat: snowflakes! Which you can toss at a friendly target to shower them in snow. Holly (preserved and fresh) now works on the flying mounts of Outland so if you’ve ever wanted to ride around on your very own flying reindeer, here’s your chance.
The Abominable Greench is still asking to be killed (does he never learn?) and Metzen has been kidnapped again. Silly reindeer.
For those of you with a high enough cooking skill, a new quest is available that gives you Preserved Holly x 5 in exchange for Deeprock Salt x 1 and 5g. Fair deal? I guess it is if you want a flying reindeer all year round.
Don’t forget to step into the Winter Wondervolt machines. Being a Santa Gnome never looked so good.

So much to do!
Time to get up, find some clothes, and hit your main cities for some WoW fun.
Happy Holidays!
