January Poll: Bench Sitter
There’s a lot of focus on the heroic acts and dashing good looks of many of gaming’s protagonists, and rightly so, they’re the poster children of their particular game and often times play an integral role in the success or failure of a franchise. But let’s not forget that there’s more to the cast of characters than the one whose face is plastered all over the box…
For the purposes of this exercise, let’s go back, waaaaaay back into the traumatizing formative years of elementary school. There was always that one kid that no one wanted on their dodgeball/floor hockey/soccer baseball team, either due to a complete and utter lack of athleticism, or a broader sense, even at such a tender young age, of social pariahs.

I would avoid getting Duke Nukem on my dodgeball team. All that smoking would make me nauseous, especially when he’s right beside me.
