Jet Li in Tekken Movie?

I’m trying to control myself from going, “OMGYAY!!”, since I’m a huge Jet Li fan. I’ve seen all his movies from before he was even popular in the US of A. Martial arts movies, admittedly, are my crack.
Well, rumor has it that Jet Li might return to the silver screen in the movie version of Tekken, playing the character of Boxer.
The Tekken movie hasn’t begun filming yet, but is due for a 2006 release.

woot! so FEARLESS really wont be his last film. i saw the trailer last week and it explicitly said, “Starring Jet Li in his last ACTION film.”
So i thought like, holy crap, he’s going to do romantic comedies now?!?!
Yay for Tekken!

COOL! I am a huge Jet Li fan too. Although I think his non-hollywood films are better simply because of the characters he was playing. Who is making Tekken?

Scruffs - lol. Mortal Kombat was pretty crap. I don’t even remember it, I saw it so long ago. As for Tekken, I guess we’ll see. Maybe it’ll suck, maybe it won’t. I’ll be happy as long as Jet Li kicks a lot of ass. :)
Rhys - I did want to be a Ninja when I grew up! … but I haven’t grown up yet :D
Yuna - The director is going to be Charles Stone III, he of Mr 3000, Paid in Full, and Drumline. (I’ve never heard of him)

I don’t get it.. why don’t they just animate the movie? Like Advent children… Tekken is a game, I want nice graphic 3D movie of it! Hah :P

Perhaps you should contact the director, Tor. Maybe they’ll listen to you ;)

A friend of mine once told me; “He who trusts tor, is more of a fool than Tor himself” so I think I’ll stick to my barely audible complains ;)

i find it more exciting if it was live action - because its a martial arts flick. i’d rather see how they replicate everything in real life action. ;)

I have watched Jet Li movies like “Once Upon A Time In China 1,2,3 and America. It was so great movie and i like his legendary style “No Shadow Kick” and also i have watched the trailer “Fearless”. Wow it was so amazing and i saw Jet Li performed his “Mizong Fist (Missing Fist)” at the wrestler guy. It was so easy to take the big guy. I can’t wait to watch “Fearless”. Tekken? I don’t think Jet Li will that movie. Cos he will retired and this “Fearless will be his last film.

i think charles stone (director:drumline, mr.3000) is gonna do a crap job wid dis movie. drumline was cheesy and crap. and i don’t know such character in any of da tekken games called the boxer. they should choose a decent cast and crew. it better not suck like mortal kombat. da story should focus on jin wid da devil gene. if yoshimitsu and howrang is in da movie then i’m fine.
