Kojima Speaks English
Well no, not really. But the man behind the Metal Gear Solid series has taken a step into a brave new world and set up shop with “Hidechan! Radio”, his own personal podcasting platform. In his broadcasts (available for download at his blog site) Hideo Kojima discusses his latest project MGS4 and speaks with other team members involved in the project. Trouble is, unless you speak Japanese, you’re pretty much out of luck.

Former 1UP contributor Ryan Payton (now international manager of Kojima Productions), has decided to translate the podcasts into English and make them available via his own podcast: The Kojima Productions Report. Apparently he’s going to attempt to add some commentary in there as well, so that they don’t end up sounding like a transcript from a UN luncheon meeting.
Given Kojima’s candid style and almost superstar status with fans, I wouldn’t be surprised to find some very interesting things coming out of these podcasts, particularly if you’re into the Metal Gear Solid games.
