Mario Paint for DS
Infendo has gotten wind of a potential Mario Paint game in the works for the Nintendo DS.
According to a source at Spong, the game, currently under development, will be slated for a mid-to late 2006 release. Exciting eh?
They were also told that:
“…the new Mario Paint will be a community-building game and users will be able to share their creations with other DS users and Revolution users.” Revolution users? “Yes, there is a plan for Mario Paint on Nintendo Revolution as well, as it is believed that the controller lends itself perfectly to creative software. Of course this will be with 3D options rather than just 2D, though the plan would be for Revolution and DS versions of Mario Paint to communicate in some way.”

You know..this is kind of a neat idea. I can see it going horribly wrong though. People are notorious for drawing…we’ll call them “inappropriate” pictures. And the ability to share these far and wide is going to make parent’s afraid of the game once the epidemic starts. Things will begin smoothly enough, but then it’ll all go downhill from there.
