Microsoft Taking Advantage of PS3 Delay

I’m sure Microsoft threw a big party the day Sony officially announced the PS3’s delay. In celebration of their extended next gen console arena domination, Gates and company said that “two to three times as many Xbox 360 machines will be sent to retailers beginning this week,” in order, I imagine, to cash in on disappointed Sony fans.
They’ve since added Celestica to their list of manufacturers, bringing the grand total to three.
Maybe Microsoft knew that the PS3 was going to be delayed all along, and used it as a ploy in their game plan. Release next-gen console a year before competition, create hype, create more hype by not releasing enough consoles and throwing the gaming community into a state of mass chaos, wait for Sony to announce delay, launch Xbox 360s by the dozen.
Either that, or they got lucky.
Me? I think I’m going to wait for the PS3.

Also, don’t forget Microsoft’s plans to release the next Halo game at the same time, which will even further bite into Sony’s PS3 sales. It’s gonna be an interesting year..
