Microsoft Updates Xbox 360 Dashboard

by Ingrid on February 1st, 2006

Bill Gates and his Peeps (a.k.a. Microsoft) have released an updated version of the Xbox 360 Dashboard. The new version has minor changes, but promises to enhance player experience.

The changes are as follows:

  • Improvements to the Xbox Guide.
  • Option to retain your saved games when you delete a profile.
  • Increased accuracy of “last time played.”
  • Network configuration improvements for Xbox Live members in the Netherlands.
  • More detailed messaging for unreadable disk or region errors.

Reports have emerged that the changes might also serve an additional purpose: to help stop potential modding, by blocking the use of Xbox 360 retail kiosk demo discs.

No modding for you!
