Nintendo DS: Selling at the Speed of Light

According to this article, the Nintendo DS has become the fastest selling console in Japan, breaking records left and right.
According to data from M-Create, the DS Lite has sold an average of 166,818 units a week from April 10 to June 11, while the PSP has been relegated to an average of 29,307 units in the same time period. Even more impressive is that fact that the the original (bulky, ugly) DS outsold the PSP at the same time that the DS Lite was on the market. Of course, hardware sales don’t mean much unless people are buying games, and the Japanese game charts also boast some impressive sales for Nintendo. Ten titles have reportedly sold more than a million copies.
Best things do come in small packages. ;)
