Off-Topic Fun: 7 Random Facts About Erin

Okay, so Mike from FPS Rantings bashed me over the head with a meme that asks me to reveal seven random facts about myself. Since a) I’m a little under the weather at the mo’; b) Mike’s a stand-up chap; and c) his blog keeps me up to date on all the latest shooty-shoot gossip, I’ll oblige.

1. My day job is at a winery, where I use my “higher education” to make alcoholic beverages that amuse, invigorate and entertain. I prefer to think of it as using my skills for the powers of good, seeing that wine seems to bring a smile (albeit dopey and/or intoxicated) to people’s faces.
2. I’m addicted to Kongregate. I waste almost every spare second in the pursuit of pointless badges, and have converted several others to this ignoble obsession.
3. I have a completely rational fear of centipedes. One fell on my face when I was sleeping once, leading me to wake with a start, fling it across the room, and then cower like a baby in the living room for the remainder of the night. I am working on this.
4. I use the word “absolutely” far too much in every day conversation. From being emphatic (’we absolutely must’) to giving an affirmative (Oh yes, absolutely!), it’s the word that I currently can’t live without. I fear that it makes people think that I’m weird…-er.
5. I have hazel eyes, but I’ve always secretly wished that they were fake contact green. I’m not sure why exactly, but pure green just seems so much cooler.
6. I pretend, for whatever reason, not to enjoy MMOs, but I really quite do. The grind is a major enthusiasm quasher and even more off-putting is the subscription fee. I have student loans with more zeroes to them than I could ever have in WoW gold.
7. I went through a phase where I adored The Sound of Music. That may be putting it mildly, considering the number of times I watched it, and the purchasing of both the movie and the soundtrack. I can still sing every single line in the entire film.
