Phishers After Your Xbox Live Info
Scammers are out for your Xbox Live info, according to a thread in the Xbox Live forums. Both US and UK users have reported emails from phishers trying to swipe important info such as user names and passwords.
The fake emails read as following:
Dear Xbox Live User,
We have made many changes to everyone’s Xbox Live account, and we would like you to check out the new features! You can check out the new features by click on the link below to login and check them out!
Please check out your new features to your Xbox Live account!
The link goes to a fake Microsoft Passport login page that’ll be happy to steal your login info if you fall for it.
Microsoft is working to restore order in the chaotic world and protect user accounts, but in the end, be wary of these kinds of emails.
