Playstation 3 Shortage Over
You lucky Americans you. Looks like you should have absolutely no trouble getting your mitts on the priciest and most elusive console on the market: the PS3.
Best Buy has a large text banner at the top of their main site declaring: ‘NOW IN STOCK ONLINE: PS3 SYSTEMS’ and sure enough, following that link will take you to a shopping list of the system itself and its associated gadgetry. Amazon.com too, seems to have plenty in stock, though they’re only shipping to U.S. APO/FPO addresses.
In Canada? Good friggin’ luck. No banner, no stock, not nothing available on either the Best Buy site or Amazon.ca. My poor fellow Canucks, shafted once again.
While the heralding of the end of shortages was trumpeted late last week, I wanted to see whether a rush of online buying over the weekend would suck available inventory dry. Perhaps the mad dash is actually over, and now the rest of us just have to wait for the prices to come down a bit.

I got my playstation 3 from Target. They would not ship to a military APO but I have an account with a company called APO BOX http://www.ApoBox.com They give me a US address so I can ship any item to the US address (like anything from target or any other looser company that does not ship to an APO) and then they forward it to my APO address in Iraq. The PS3 is Swweeeet!
