PMS Clan Member Goes #1 In Pro Draft
The first official draft pick for the Championship Gaming Series (CGS) went to Vanessa “PMS Vanessa” Arteaga, a talented member of the gaming clan Pandora’s Mighty Soldiers (PMS).
Drafted by the San Fransisco Optx, Arteaga responded to her selection by saying that she was:
honored and humbled to be the first pick in the draft. I will do everything in my power to help prove I was the right choice for the league and my amazing new San Francisco manager, Kat Hunter. I would also like to say thank you to PMS Clan and our sponsors Verizon FiOS and Patriot Memory, who have been supporting me for a year in professional game play in efforts to get me ready for this life-changing moment.
The all female clan, which looks to foster a “community-first organization” and “provide a competitive and safe environment for women gamers”, continues to receive quite a bit of press for their competitive teams (Team PMS, and Team H20(for males)). First it was a high profile sponsorship from Women in Technology International (WITI), others from Verizon FiOS and Patriot Memory, and now a #1 draft pick…PMS seems to be on a roll.
The CGS draft, held at the Playboy Mansion of all places, saw 150 hopefuls duke it out for a full time gaming position worth over thirty thousand dollars. The CGS begins June 9th, and can be followed on DirecTV’s The 101.
