Poll Results: Tingle, You Be The Punching Bag
In our latest poll, Play-Girlz asked you: “Who would be the last pick in gym class?”
Seventy-seven of you responded with your choice for the last character standing, alone at the center of the soccer baseball diamond, while the team captains try everything in their bag of tricks to keep the pariah off their squad. Cruel? Yes, but as that time tested saying goes: so is life.
This month’s winner, garnering over a third (34%) of the (un)popular vote, is that little guy in green from the Legend of Zelda…no, not that little guy in green — we’re talking Tingle! Surprised? Nah, I thought not. From tip of his pointy little shoes to the tip of his equally pointy hat, you all thought Tingle deserved mention as the least popular, least athletic, most disturbing video game character of the bunch. I can’t say I disagree with you.
Gary, that high-pitched Pokemon wonder, came in with 25% of the vote, proving that the phrase “Gary, I choose youuuuu!” is one that is unlikely to ever be uttered in our hallowed halls. Close on Gary’s tail is the abominably annoying Slippy Toad (my choice) with 22%, whose utter helplessness and general stupidity either made him fly directly in front of Fox, after which he reprimanded you for shooting him, or conducting a tremendously ineffective dogfight with enemy fighters from which he needed rescue 9 times out of ten.
Ill-tempered, crude Wario, despite is abrasive nature, grabbed 14% of your nods. I kind of figured that Wario might be the best on our totem “poll” but surprisingly, the least selected character was darling little Diddy Kong, with only 5% of the votes. Proof that compared to some other gaming misfits, not everyone hates Diddy.
