According to ARTCADEPlaystation, for whom the video was made, it is meant to showcase the general misconceptions and pervasive stereotypes surrounding video games as the cause of violent behaviour in youth.
It’s an interesting way to present a take on the current social debate surrounding the gaming industry and well worth a watch so long as you remember that this is not an actual ad, but a piece of dark humour. Funny thing is that the video was made by TBWA-Paris, the French branch of Sony’s viral advertising partner. Another case of Sony trying to be edgy perhaps?
