PS3 News and Rumors
It’s hard to keep afloat of post-E3 news when you’re a little jetlagged, just got one year older, and have spent the past week on the phone gnashing your teeth at the IRS. Heck, let’s be honest, it’s pretty darn hard, without a team of minions to do our bidding, to keep up on the rumors even when we’re in perfect spirits.
Here then, in nice, easy to digest format, is a round-up of some PS3 news and pseudonews.
- Online Play = Free - yes as thought/dreamed/wished fervently for, online play on the PS3 will be absolutely free
- GBP 425 - the price that our British friends will have to pay for their PS3.
- Vewy Vwey Qwuiet - Less noise than my slimline PS2? Impossible! Possible and definite says Sony.
- Load Times Low - Brian Crecente talked with devs to learn that 2-3 seconds may be all that’s needed.
- Lovin’ Linux - Apparently the PS3 will ship with a built in Linux OS. Basement programmers rejoice!
- Fifteen - The estimated number of launch titles for the PS3. Not all publishers are in agreeance with Kaz Hirai, but it’s the best info we have thus far.
- Retailers Learn Their Lesson - Rather than running into another 360 fiasco, retailer EB Games will be delaying pre-orders until October.

Just though you’d slip in the “just got one year older” did you, and hoped no-one would notice. (There’s a big flaw in my observation, but we’ll ignore it okay!)
Happy birthday Erin - you don’t look a day over 23.

Oh crap, I missed your birthday! I had it all planned out. A booth babe was gonna jump out of a Wii controller-shaped cake for you. Damn.
Maybe next year.
I hope she’s refundable.
Happy Birthday! How old are you now? 45? ;)

Thanks to you both! I’m afraid I fall somewhere between your, er, widely varying guesses. Ingrid just because you’re younger than I am doesn’t mean you have to rub it in. :P
As for the booth babe, it really is the thought that counts. And that was quite the thought. If she’s not refundable, I hear that they make excellent anti-pigeon devices. I would install her on the balcony if I were you.
