PS3 Rumors: DVR Capabilities and iTunes-like Service
With the official announcement of the PS3 HUB, which is Sony’s hope against Xbox Live, more nifty features for the PS3 have surfaced.
The PS3 rumormill is currently spinning, and here’s what it’s revealing:
- digital video recording (DVR) capabilities
- connection to the PSP for show transfers
- iTunes-like media download service for hi-def movies and music
Now, Sony hasn’t confirmed any of these things, but they don’t seem particularly farfetched to me. Not if Sony and its PS3 HUB seriously plan to go head-to-head with Microsoft and its Xbox Live dashboard features (one of which I mentioned before will soon be Direct TV).
And the see-saw of my indecision over the PS3 and the Xbox 360 continues….
