Samuel L. Jackson on Spike TV

And how is that relevant, you wonder? Or maybe you don’t wonder. But I’ll tell you anyway. He’ll be hosting Spike TV’s Video Game Awards 2005, which will be hitting your screens on Friday, November 18th.
Others making guest appearances include: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vin Diesel, The Rock, Missy Elliot, Snoop Dogg, Carmen Electra, Xzibit and Ozzy Osbourne.
What, no SlipKnot? No 50? No Jessica Alba?
I suppose there’s always next year.

I absolutely hate these events. They are in no way at all related to gaming. They give a few awards and that the general consensus is for a game and then it’s just rap and hip-hop and just a lot of bs. It’s the jock video game awards. There are no real gamers there. These people might play games on the occasion, but they’re not gamers, and they no way in hell represent what gaming is. Buncha

I like the fact that they award games and gaming things (such as those blogs) but it’s the way they do it that drives a nail in my eye.
