Schill, Spawn & Drizzt Daddy Onto MMOs
There’s going to be a new MMO. It’s going to be fantasy themed. Excited? I thought not, and normally I wouldn’t bother you with the announcement of YAEG (yet another elf game), but the creative crew behind this one is downright bizarre in a potentially cool way.
Take Curt Schilling, yes, the Major League Baseball pitcher, Spawn comic creator Todd McFarlane and a man who knows more about Night Elves than all of us lame ass WoW players combined: Drizzt’s scripter R.A. Salvatore.
Now Schilling may seem the odd man out here, but he’s actually a pretty tech savvy guy who not only has his own blog at 38pitches.com but has an accompanying studio, 38 Studios, and has been known to indulge in some Everquest now and again.
Will the strange marriage of minds produce something truly unique, imaginatively malformed, or just plain cliched….stay tuned!
