Second Life Art Installations
It’s time for your weekly dose of Second Life, and one of culture at the same time. Don’t tell me I never try to refine the uncouth masses. If you’re the art gallery or museum type, and love wandering around loooking at baffling objects beyond sane comprehension, you’ll be glad to know that New World News has set up an art tour of sorts within Second Life. They’ve selected what they feel are the Top 10 Art Installations in the game.
Some of the includes:
-
Sabine Stonebender’s Installation at Zero Point in Kelham
This is an amazing journey into a land born straight out of imagination. Its electric colors and the architecture of the space, including the scripted ride are things you must experience for yourself. -
Gallery of Reflexive Architecture
Keystone Bouchard’s installation of scripted art with reflexive properties, with a combination of white and black background to create the feeling of another world. -
Crescent Moon Museum
One of the oldest and best outfitted art museums in Second Life. Curator Tayzia Abattoir is always on the look for new artists and keeps the exhibits on rotation here. A must see for any Second Life exploration!
Simply click on the provided links in the NWN post to be given the option to teleport directly to that game locations, to peruse the online art world at your leisure. Feel free to express feelings of “omg, wtf is that?”, or “that’s art?” from the comfort of your computer chair, far away from the disapproving gazes of the real world hipster scene.
