SingStar Rocks The Holidays
My vocal capabilities, at least in the opinion of SingStar 80’s, fall into the range of Erasure, Flock of Seagulls, and Madonna (in her Material Girl phase). I don’t know whether to be proud or frightened of that fact, but I do know that I then stole the game, a set of mics and ran off to my own house after a rocking Christmas party, to jump up and down on the bed screaming along to Eye of the Tiger.
First of all, let me just state how awesomely engrossing that bloody game is. I’m not prone to public outbursts of singing, never mind in front of people I’ve spent years with culturing the perfect, polite facade for. But somehow, when Boy George started prancing on the screen, I just couldn’t help myself. I forgot about the parents, the grandparents, and the fact that I have all the tonal talent of an alley cat, and had a blast. Great icebreaker, great tunes, and a great way to get the entire family involved in video gaming. It’s like karaoke on crack.
Only thing was, once I got it home, and spent a couple of nights wailing away like a banshee…I got bored. Crushingly, inexplicably, mind-numbingly bored. I didn’t want to sing the same songs again, I didn’t care that I didn’t have a SingStar rating for each track. It was a great time for the first few days, but I completely lost interest and haven’t touched it since. Was it a holiday fling? A passing fancy? I’m at a loss to explain and it saddens me.
Maybe Play-Girlz should have a SingStar party to give me a fresh opportunity to humiliate myself. What do you say Ingrid? I’ve even found SingStar Bollywood so that we can all make complete idiots of ourself.
(Oh yeah, I also do a mean Run D.M.C. for a white chick. It’s tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that’s right on time!)

Lol I’ve been ever so tempted by Singstar Bollywood.
Regarding Singstar, it’s exceedingly hard not to get bored from singing the same songs over and over. Definitely is more enjoyable when you own a few games. Some of them come with some party modes that are extremely fun to play too.

Ingrid: How’d the parties go? Did you rock on with your bad self?
Karine: I had both 80’s and Amped to play, which kept me busy for a while. I just have no drive to play them anymore. Guess it’s time for Bollywood!! :D
