So How Much Would You Pay for a PS3?

I don’t know what I was thinking when I thought $600 was too steep to spend on a console. Silly me. Some people are more than happy to spend the price of a car for the Sony console.
Like this guy who managed to sell his PS3 for a winning bid of $15,100.
I guess if you’ve got oodles of money $15K isn’t that much, but yowza. I didn’t realize there was such a high price tag on impatience.

What’s really funny is that I went to a couple stores this weekend and actually saw several PS3s that haven’t even been sold yet. People are freakin’ crazy.

How about $89 million?

I’m pretty sure that the person making such a bid had no intentions of buying this system - but the funny part of the article is that they outbid the previous bidder by $100.

[…] Since the PS3 hit the shelves and people hit eachother with it and as Ingrid points out over at Play-Girlz, paid $15k for, this means that Resistance: Fall of Man is soon to be played by those of us with large disposable incomes. I’ve already been seening Ad spots for it on TV so it should be interesting to see how the PS3’s “big” game does. Assuming, of course, that you acquired your PS3 and did not immediately sell it on ebay. […]
