Sonic Unleashed Confirmed
Sega has officially confirmed Sonic Unleashed, which is kinda of anti-climactic being that so much of the game leaked out before the announcement. All the same, official confirmations of anything are always welcome because it gives us a chance to save our salt for other types of rumors.
The great thing about official confirmations is also the new details they generally bring with them, and this is no different. Sega has revealed the following regarding Sonic Unleashed:

It will ship for the holidays

It will be available for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PS2

It will include both 3-D and 2-D gameplay

And there will also be “combat fighting” - though what that entails exactly isn’t quite clear

The game is running on the “Hedgehog Engine” a new multiplatform game engine three years in the making. Wonder if it’s pointy?
