Sonic’s New Theme Music
All right, so I’ll admit that we’ve been sorely lacking in the Sonic/Shadow the hedgehog category. For myself the reason lies in an underlying fear of the game that tormented my younger years. I sucked so badly at the original Sonic that I never went near the series again. I blame it on a lack of access to a Sega system to practice on, followed by high pressure competition with Sega-owning friends.
Before I delve too deeply into my childhood, let me get to my point. Few things stick with a person more than a game’s theme music. How many of you can still hum the Super Mario Bros. theme? I thought so. Apparently Gori Fater had similar affinity for the Sonic the Hedgehog game and has created a rocking piano accompaniment to Sonic game play. Now the time and effort that had to go into this is staggering, and for a non-musically inclined person such as myself, I simply cannot fathom how someone could have the patience to do something like this. Hats off to you Gori Fater!
