Sony’s Phil Harrison Doubts Microsoft Estimates
In an interview with BBC News, PS3 price guru man, Phil Harrison admitted that he’s doubtful about Microsoft’s claims that the Xbox 360 will have a 10 milliion unit head start by the time the PS3 launches.
He said: “I doubt they will achieve that. I think the clear advantages of the PS3 will mean that this product is very well accepted in the marketplace. We have a great brand and fantastically loyal consumers.”
He went to illustrate the versatilty of the PS3, naming it an “multimedia hub” rather than just a video games console, though consumers would be - of course - the ones to decide in what way they wanted to use their PS3. The illustration served to justify the difference in pricing between the $499 20GB PS3, and the $599 60GB one.
Xbox 360 … PS3 …. Xbox 360 … PS3 ….
At this point, the only thing I’m certain of is the Wii. My preciouusssss.

By the time the price comes down to where I can afford any of them, the next model will be about to be released!
I can get the old XBox now, but after having seen the graphics on the new 360, you sort of say “Why bother?”
