Steven Spielberg Announces ‘Boom Box’ Wii Game

by Ingrid on February 10th, 2008

ImageSteven Spielberg, whom we all know and love from such classics as E.T. and Jurassic Park and … well the list goes on, has relased some details about his upcoming Wii game, ‘Boom Box’.

A fun game for kids and the entire family, “Boom Blox” offers brain-twisting challenges and cool scenarios that promise an altogether different level of Wii play in single-player, co-operative, and versus modes.

Players can interact with entertaining characters such as the block-laying chickens or baseball-throwing monkeys across four themed environments; i.e. Tiki, Medieval, Frontier, and Haunted.

Using props, blocks, or characters that have been unlocked during the game, they can remix any game level in the ‘Create Mode’. Players can also virtually build anything that they dream up. And, they can share their designs with friends or use them to challenge others via WiiConnect24.

It sounds great for the kids, but I kind of wish he’d focus on making another movie instead. Well, regardless, the game is being developed by EA in L.A. (that’s fun to say), and will be hitting your Wiis and mobile phones in the very near future.
