The Manufacturing Price of Xbox 360
Joystiq is reporting that Business Week’s initial estimated cost of making the Xbox 360 is off - by a lot. Business Week stated that Microsoft was losing about $126-per console sold, but it looks like the estimate might be off by a couple-hundred dollars. Apparently Insider Scoop estimates that the cost of making an Xbox 360 is actually closer to $715, which means Bill and his gang are actually losing about $300 per console.
I’d say “ouch” but they can afford it.

Hey listen u lil playstation 3 freak man why u saying lies about xbox 360? huh. Listen the actual price of the xbox 360 is 375$ without a hardrive because of the hardrive the price then becomes 500 dollars there is no definate loss but its well under 100$ man u ps3 suckups, the only thing i have to say abt ur BOOM-ER-RANG controller is taht it sucks and its wakkk and stop copying xbox, u playgamegersomerize k? thanks

Ah - well, I wrote that. But I’m not a PS freak by any stretch of the imagination. I don’t even own a PlayStation - I own an Xbox. If you disagree with what I wrote above, that’s fair. Do you have some insider info regarding the issue? I don’t write for Business Weekly, nor Insider Scoop, so I’m not the one you should be freaking out on. I was reporting news that I’d found elsewhere.
I’m also not a “man”, nor a “PS3 suckup”. Where you got that from my post is baffling. :)

Oh ok then my oplogize because i’m a writer for a colum in a xbox 360 offcial magazine and i already recive all this negative isssues on xbox from ps2 magazines that obviuosly are lies so i become very attentive over xbox 360 negatives

listen up. the ps3 is much better than 360 so get that straight. sure all the big companies are losing money but did you ever take time 2 think about the games. The profit they’ll make is endless because my estimate for game prices are like 70$. So when the ps3 comes out and sends microsoft 2 china town and back you’ll be sorry

hahahah u wish ps3 is wakkk and ugly besides the controller that already is a demented boom-er-ang the syetem is wakkk and the only new feature that it has beside the ones it copied from 360 it only has a 2 controller port ahah 360 has 2 and with the added p.t.p port you cann play up to 4 ppl ahaha ps3 what a waste it has no new games and like my colleaugues say ps3 is just a silver version of ps2

I hate how us gamers are starting to form our own little camps where we make war on every other camp that doesn’t aggree with us. I have already bought an xbox 360 and i plan on getting a PS3 as soon as it comes out. there are good things bout each one. the xbox has the insane power, but it only has a few titles worth anything in my opinion. sony on the other hand can’t compete with the garphical powerhouse of the xbox, but they have many many more quality games. I also think it’s sadwhen people are starting to insult other game systems that aren’t even on the market yet. there is no way for you to know if the ps3 sucks yet or not, because it hasn’t hit the market yet.
