Video Games in Prison

According to the United Press International, some prisoners in England have been awarded video game time as reward for good behavior. And what do some of them do with their game time? They use it to recreate their crimes in-game in order to brag about it to their fellow prisoners.
Official comment: “‘The use of high-tech goods, such as PlayStations, as privileges is common practice across many prisons and has been proved to be a successful method of generating a positive response from prisoners,’” a prison spokesman said.
Meanwhile: “A corrections officer told the Sunday Telegraph he saw a prisoner — serving a prison sentence for stabbing a victim during a street robbery — mimicking the crime on the game and boasting to other prisoners.”
Very positive response, indeed. Nothing like high-fiving your fellow inmates after showing a virtual play-by-play of that time you stabbed a person. It’s certain to boost morale around the place.
Another thing: Why are they even allowed to play the types of games that allow them to recreate their crimes? Shouldn’t they be playing something else? Like The Teletubbies?

Stick to Super Mario or Tetris will be better…
I wonder if they had their own gamertags.
