Video Games & the Oscars

It’s that time of the year again: The Academy Awards. And man, I’m glad the writer’s strike is over so we don’t have to settle for some half-assed rendition. In honor of tonight’s show, Yahoo! Games has put together a list of notable Oscar winners/attendees who have dipped their creative feet in the pool of video gaming.
1. Steven Spielberg - This three-time Oscar winner and 12-time-Oscar nominated director has teamed up with EA to bring us Boom Blox. Other games under his belt include Medal of Honor and The Dig
2. Peter Jackson - With three Oscars for Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson brings us his very own version of King Kong, along wiht LotR games, and Wingnut Interactive.
3. Ben Kingsley - This Academy Award winning Best Actor’s voice can be found in the 1997 adventure/mystery game Ceremony of Innocence.
4. Louis Gosset, Jr. - This Academy Award winning actor from An Officer and a Gentleman lend his voice to the likes of the alien Vortigaunts in Half-Life 2.
5. James Earl Jones - Who doesn’t recognize the voice Darth Vader? This Oscar nominated actor’s infamous voice can also be found in the games Kingdom Hearts II, Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, and Under a Killing Moon.
